Speech therapy office

Our school has a well-equipped speech therapy office, where experienced speech therapists work. Students are very eager to take part in speech therapy classes. Working methods are adapted to their needs and capabilities. Specialists take care of the well-being of students, creating a warm, cordial atmosphere. The office is equipped with multimedia aids.
Due to the specificity of speech disorders of our students, at the very beginning, during the speech therapy diagnosis, the speech therapist determines the basic cause that hinders communication. These can be speech defects, poor vocabulary, difficulties in understanding speech, building sentences or difficulties resulting from a lack of understanding of social situations. Speech therapy therefore includes individual language skills, not only as it is commonly associated, the pronunciation of individual sounds. The speech therapist sets the priorities of speech therapy and adapts its effects to the individual needs and psychophysical capabilities of the student.

Speech therapy includes
1. Developing language skills: articulation, lexical, inflectional, word-forming and syntactic exercises.
2. Naming spatial relationships.
3. Developing communication skills: social, situational and pragmatic.
4. Communication exercises in the field of creating dialogue forms
and monologues, including description and storytelling.
5. Building knowledge about the surrounding reality in the minds of children.
6. Enrichment of passive and active vocabulary.
7. Maintaining spontaneous verbal activity.
