The World Experience Room

The World Experience Room is a specially separated room equipped with devices stimulating the development of the senses. The main purpose of organizing such rooms is to create opportunities to receive new stimuli, enrich experiences and have a pleasant time in an atmosphere of relaxation and full acceptance by people with multiple disabilities. A concept closely related to the World Experience Room is Snoezelen. Snoezelen is a combination of the words "snuffelen" – sniff, sniff and "doezelen" – to nap, to be half asleep.

The World Experience Room is equipped to:
– stimulation of the visual system (looking at colored light, light curtains, fiber optics, following the light in different directions).
– stimulation of the sense of hearing (Listening to sounds from various sources; sound toys, musical instruments, finding sound sources, listening to music, including relaxing music, listening to sounds in the background).
– stimulation of the tactile system (touching different textures on touch mats, rubbing and massaging with various massage devices, experiencing thermal stimuli – warm and cold air blown to different parts of the body).
– stimulation of smell (feeling pleasant smells emitted by a humidifier, scented fireplace).
-stimulation of deep sensation (wrapping in blankets, thin mattresses, wearing tight vests.
Among the equipment that we have at our disposal in the World Experience Room are, among others:
Dry pool – designed for rehabilitation and relaxation. It provides maximum tactile stimuli – relaxes muscles, stimulates the feeling of the whole body, its individual parts (through ball massage). It improves small and large motor skills, shapes visual-motor coordination. In addition, it provides visual (color) and auditory stimuli (noise of moving balls).
Color and image projector – its primary purpose is to sensitize the sense of sight to visual stimuli, focusing the child's attention on changing (on the wall) colors
and images.
UV lamp with light elements – a calming device, focusing attention on objects, materials reacting to UV rays.
Mirror house – allows you to focus the child's attention on himself (his facial expressions, gestures, movements), which affects the formation of his awareness of himself, his body, its individual parts and orientation in space.
Fiber optics – provide a strong visual experience through changing colors. They increase the concentration of attention, arouse interest and willingness to act (touching, grasping).
Water column – provides strong visual impressions (moving in the column, changing the color of the bubble), tactile (vibrations accompanying the release of bubbles and temperature), auditory (specific sound of the column turned on and bubbling water – murmurs, gurgling).
Vibropodest – serves to arouse curiosity, activate the sense of sight (different colors), hearing (different tones, sounds).
Water bed – allows you to make movements and feel your own body, which gives a sense of agency and your own activity. Light rocking affects relaxation, relaxes joints and muscles, stimulates balance.
The light and sound track affects the senses of sight (different colors), hearing (different sounds, tones), touch. It improves concentration of attention (focusing the eyes on colors), manual dexterity (pressing buttons), eye-hand coordination, develops balance while walking on colorful fields.
