Dear Parents and Guardians
Each student and participant of rehabilitation-and-education classes in our school is unique and unique. His psychophysical condition, reaction to the emotions of the environment and resistance to stress are different. However, everyone feels the atmosphere around them, and we have no shortage of difficulties at the moment. Teachers provide you with tips and worksheets to consolidate already acquired skills, as well as to develop new ones. However, it is your attitude that is crucial for the optimal functioning of your children.

I ask you to:
– following the recommendations given in the media and limiting social contacts, especially in the case of Students and Participants with chronic health problems – the most important thing is physical safety
– limiting the signs of anxiety and panic, checking contact phones, hotline, methods of dealing with disturbing symptoms – knowledge allows you to organize yourself, and your calm reactions affect the sense of security and behavior of your children
– refraining from "adult" conversations about the coronavirus pandemic and its effects in the presence of children (if possible, discussions on this topic should be held without their presence, e.g. when they fall asleep), elimination or limitation of indirect sources of information, such as television and radio – despite possible difficulties in understanding the transmitted content, Students will feel the atmosphere – the tone of voice and non-verbal communication are very quickly picked up by them and are of great importance for their condition Mental
– introducing sanitary information and recommendations in a manner appropriate to the capabilities and condition of the child, without creating an atmosphere of fear, for this purpose you can use the materials available on the Internet at the following addresses:

– introduction of routine, fixed daily schedule, if necessary, the use of visual aids, – predictability and orientation in subsequent activities give a sense of security, reduce uncertainty and frustration
– activating children by engaging in everyday household activities, e.g. helping in the kitchen, assigning household duties appropriate to the age and condition of the Student as far as possible – this allows them to feel needed and important, has a positive effect on self-esteem, and at the same time improves skills in the field of independence and self-service
– improving proper hand washing skills and other hygiene skills – are fundamental to maintaining health
– talking about emotions and needs, also with the help of alternative communication methods and their carriers – ensuring psychological comfort in this difficult time is extremely important
– focus on building a family atmosphere, joint activities – techniques related to distraction can be useful to all household members
– developing ways to relax together, e.g. to the sounds of relaxation music – calming the breath, affects the functioning of the whole body
– using a very wide and interesting offer of proposals from all teachers, posted regularly on the school's website, as well as transmitted by e-mail or telephone.
