Aromatherapy

The scent of lavender in the Morning Circle method is a fragrance corresponding to autumn, which is why students of our school, during the last weeks, often have the opportunity to get acquainted with this delicate aroma. Nevertheless, other fragrances are also currently used for aromatherapy – a working method briefly described below.

Aromatherapy is often included in the field of natural medicine, in which essential oils obtained from plants are used. They are introduced into the body through the respiratory tract (sniffing, inhalation, inhalation) or through the skin (massage, bath, compress, cosmetic).
Volatile particles of fragrance compounds and components of essential oils reach the brain using olfactory receptors in the nasal mucosa, effectively alleviating or eliminating, among others, such ailments as muscle pain or stress. They also improve well-being and increase the level of overall body condition. The smells of some substances exhibit bactericidal, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties.
One of the most popular forms of aromatherapy, used when working with students, is inhalation using aromatherapy fireplaces, in which the heat of the candle heats a bowl with a mixture of oils and water, which causes their evaporation and dispersion in the air.
Currently, aromatherapy uses the facilities of the technique, which are, m.in air diffusers, using simple mechanical propagation of odors. Participants of rehabilitation-educational classes of our school are happy to use the aromatherapy method, which allows them to calm down and relax. This is confirmed by the photographs below.
