"Anyone who stops learning is old, whether they're in their 20s or 80s.
Whoever continues to study remains young.
The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young."
"Bridge of generations – let's act together and learn from each other!"
The innovation will be implemented in the school year 2018/2019. It meets the expectations and needs of two social groups: disabled children and seniors. It aims to prevent social isolation by indicating ways of cooperation between seniors and young people and strengthening interpersonal contacts. Old age is the most diverse phase of human life, for it depends on the course of the previous stages of life; It is therefore unique and associated with a huge individual and unique experience. It is the broadly understood life experience, i.e. various types of practical skills, artistic activities, memories and willingness to share them, a wide spectrum of seeing the world and peace, serenity and joy of life that seniors can and want to offer to society.
Actions taken during innovation will enable this wealth of experience to be passed on to the younger part of society. At the same time, for young people studying in our school, meetings with seniors will not only be a time of learning and drawing on endless sources of knowledge. The assumption of innovation is also the possibility of transferring certain skills to seniors, which results in shaping self-esteem, social usefulness and self-acceptance in students of our school. Mutual cooperation, understanding of the environment and its specificity is to strengthen respect and friendliness towards each of the innovation partners. The guiding idea of innovation is to build and strengthen positive intergenerational relationships, shape and strengthen self-esteem and leave the group at risk of social isolation.
