In the school year 2007/2008 our school received funding for the implementation of tasks under the project co-financed by the "Super School" of the European Social Fund and the state budget under the Sectoral Operational Program Human Resources Development 2004-2006.
The organizer of the project was the Educational Society of the Chrzanów Region in Chrzanów.

The funds obtained were allocated, m.in. for:

  • purchase of aids and programs necessary for the professional conduct of various forms of therapy;
  • organization of students' trips to the theater, cinema, museum, swimming pool;
  • conducting artistic, musical, theatrical, IT classes, learning English;
  • organization of educational trips to places interesting and important for every Pole.

As part of the "Super School" project, funds have also been planned to train teachers in first aid.

Thanks to the funds raised, the students of our school pursued their passions, developed their interests, participated in free trips.

The implementation of the projects planned in the project began at the end of the school year 2006/07.

In June 2007, our children participated in music classes, visited the Archaeological Museum, the Botanical Garden and the Barbican in Krakow. They also had the opportunity to sail by ship to Tyniec, there was also a trip by papal train to Wadowice.

In the last week of August 2007 art workshops were held. Students under the direction of Mrs. A. Bernacka learned to use line and spot, to distinguish between warm and cold colors, to mix colors and derive colors, and to present perspective using lines, object size and color saturation. The children worked with various artistic techniques. Sketching with a pencil, they practiced patience and perseverance, they found out that coal is not only miners, and into the magical world of colors they were introduced by pastels, watercolors and oil paints.

Working with the use of professional equipment (easels, art materials) was a great experience for the participants of the classes. For the first time they stood at the easel, sketched with charcoal or painted on canvas. It was both fun and therapy, positively affecting the mood and behavior of the students.

The workshops were also conducive to integration activities – part of the classes took place with the participation of students of the High School in Wieliczka.

In the school year 2007/2008 further projects were implemented. In September 2007, excursions to the cinema, theater, museum took place. Students participated in theater, music, IT, mathematics, English, origami classes.

September-November 2007 – students went to Krakow cinemas and theaters many times.

Everyone had a great time on such films as: Shrek the Third, On the Wave, Ratatouille, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or The Bee Movie. A great experience for some children was the opportunity to learn about the world of dinosaurs and ocean life in IMAX 3D technology. This time the fun was accompanied by large doses of new news.

Thanks to frequent trips, students discovered many secrets of the theater and became specialists in the field of theatrical savoir-vivr. Together with the Moomins, they asked themselves the question "What exactly is theatre?", during the workshops they learned about the variety of theatrical forms (theater of large puppets, shadows, black), and watching The Treasure of the Pirate Cinnamon they had the opportunity to co-create the adventures of the hero. The plays they watched entertained and taught and, above all, convinced the students that theatre does not have to be boring.
