PEDAGOGICAL INNOVATION "LET'S PLAY TOGETHER"
In order to effectively support the development of our students and in all spheres, since November 2015 we have been implementing an innovation in our school entitled "Let's play together", i.e. music and movement classes using the Developing Movement Method W. Sherborne. The implementation of the innovation is attended by students of grade II of the primary school and children from a non-public special preschool point Teraz MY in Wieliczka. Thanks to integration with other children, students of our school meet new colleagues, learn acceptance and tolerance towards younger, less fit colleagues, who may become their new friends.
Play plays an important role in a child's life, especially in the preschool and early school period. It shapes the child's character and develops an attitude towards the world and people. During his play, the child gains experiences that prepare him for later tasks, both educational and life. Play evokes curiosity, stimulates action, allows you to explore and discover the world through the involvement of the senses, develops ingenuity. Games integrate the group and are an effective method of teaching and upbringing, teach coexistence and develop the ability to establish contacts and interpersonal communication. They teach the rules of social behavior, relieving tension, coping with stress and discouragement. During play, the child gets to know himself better. He learns to solve problems, overcome difficulties, and also succeed. It is important that children, from an early age, have the best possible understanding of what is good and what is bad, be able to play and learn in harmony, to address others culturally at home, in kindergarten, school and on the street.
Therefore, in order to enable students to function better in a group, learn to communicate with adults and other children, teach them to function harmoniously in play and in task situations, we invited preschoolers from the "Teraz my" facility to cooperate and play together.
